On the First Day

This is my first ever blog. I'm sat here wondering if it will be my last.

As a teenager, I used to love the idea of writing a diary, of allowing my innermost self to be laid down on paper. My secret reasoning was that I really thought the World would love to read my trials and tribulations. As time went on, I slowly came to realise that perhaps they wouldn't. Hence, I never finished more than the first 10 entries per new diary.

So here I am, finally achieving fame with my very own blog. I have to be honest and say that if I find out that nobody has read this, I'll be crushed!

I asked one of the guys at work "What's a blog?"...."It's kinda like an online diary where you write your thoughts". My initial reaction? Why on earth would someone want to publish their personal diary online?!

So, I set to work searching for the blogs of friends and colleagues alike (as any self-respecting snoop would) and was initially quite disappointed! No hidden secrets, no outpouring of love, anger or grief; instead, I found some interesting chat on their thoughts on techie stuff and pubs! It's true that if you try really hard, there's a chance you could dig up some juicy gossip...but the chances are that if it's been blogged, it was meant for the public arena.

I've considered writing my own blog for some time now...so inspired by some I have read...here I am.

Perhaps I'll even return tomorrow?
